Pen Marine
Project Overview

[ Client Request ]
Pen Marine approached us to redesign and revamp their corporate website—to create a sleek, globally-appealing platform that would elevate their premium brand perception, offer seamless user experience for high-value clientele, and support international yacht-sales lead generation.
[ Background ]
Pen Marine’s existing website did not fully reflect the luxury and international scope of their business. It lacked the refined UX and UI required to engage affluent clients seeking high-end yachts and services.

The Problem
Pen Marine’s existing website did not fully reflect the luxury and international scope of their business. It lacked the refined UX and UI required to engage affluent clients seeking high-end yachts and services.
[ Primary focus ]
Launch a premium, high-performance website that aligns with Pen Marine’s brand prestige, supports global client acquisition, and simplifies conversion across devices.
Global audience gap
Navigation and content were not optimised for international users and luxury buyers.
Lack of content clarity
Services such as charters, brokerage, marina consultancy were insufficiently distinguished.
Brand mismatch
The digital interface felt outdated and did not reflect the premium segment.
Lead generation friction
The pathways to inquiry or contact were not clearly defined for high-value conversions.
Design Goal
To deliver a world-class online experience for Pen Marine that conveys luxury, global reach and trust—while enhancing user journeys for high-value yacht buyers and service clients.
Simplify Journey Flow
Reduce complexity in browsing yachts, services and contact paths to encourage high-value enquiries.
Elevate Content Hierarchy
Present yacht offerings and services with the clarity luxury clients expect, enabling confident decision-making.
Target Global Users
Prioritise international audience needs: currency, language, regional trust signals, and streamlined cross-border enquiries.
Enhance Mobile Experience
Ensure performance and intuitive navigation on mobile/tablets to capture affluent users on the go.
Strengthen Lead Paths
Design clear CTAs, enquiry forms and visual trust indicators that prompt engagement from potential high-net-worth clients.
[ UX Goals ]
User Research
Design a refined user experience tailored to luxury yacht buyers, enabling effortless navigation, strong brand affirmation and clear conversion pathways.

User 1
When I browse luxury yachts, photos matter more than text. If the website looks old or messy, I lose confidence immediately. I want full-screen images, clean galleries, and a modern layout before I even think about contacting the seller.

User 2
I compare specifications. Length, cabins, weight, fuel capacity — all of it. If these details are hidden or hard to scan, I leave the website. I don’t want long paragraphs; I want structured data, tables, and visuals.

User 3
Yachts cost millions. Before I reach out, I need to feel trust. A premium, polished website tells me the distributor is professional. If the site looks outdated, I question the credibility of the business.

User Interface
High-Impact Hero Imagery
Feature full-width, high-definition photography and video backgrounds to immediately immerse the user in the premium world of international yachting and leisure
Typography & Hierarchy
Apply sophisticated serif headings paired with clean sans-serif body text to ensure readability while maintaining an upscale, editorial-style brand aesthetic.
Consistent Component Library
Build a unified design system of buttons, icons, and cards to ensure a cohesive brand experience across the website and future digital touchpoints.
Luxury Visual Palette
Utilize a refined color scheme of deep navy and crisp whites to mirror the maritime environment and convey a sense of professional reliability.
